6W - Mr Wilson

Spring Term 2018

We are looking forward to another busy term.

We have already been on a visit this term to The Heritage Centre in connection with our WW2 topic and we are now looking forward to WW2 Day on 9th February 2017. We are planning our costumes and can't wait for our WW2 themed packed lunch! Our literacy text is ‘The boy in the striped pyjamas’, set in WW2.
This term our whole school ‘Take One’ project is based on Planet Earth and the Blue Planet. We will be linking art, geography, science and literacy to this theme and looking at the voyage of Charles Darwin to the Galapagos Islands. In science we will be studying Evolution and Inheritance.

In maths we will continue to consolidate our understanding of all elements of number and calculation and how to apply them to problems.
Our RE focus is the Jewish faith where we will be finding out more about life at home and the journey of Jewish life.
